Content is missing or empty
Run mcp-aiom info and list the framework. Check which source and directory the client's process uses: an explicitly selected directory that is unavailable does not fall back to installed content. Remove the override, or ask its owner for the complete collection, then restart your server.
The framework version is unknown or different
An unknown version means the selected collection lacks version information; do not guess one. A mismatch is a completed comparison with matches: false, not a migration: report both values and follow your workspace's review process. Restart after version information changes.
A skill is absent or incomplete
Refresh discovery. If skills/list returns method not found, use the aiom_skill tool instead. If skills/get returns invalid params, use a uri exactly as skills/list returned it. A skill's supporting files are read through skill://<skill-name>/<file-path> or the tool's path argument, and they are not installed or run.
Long instructions stop partway
Follow the returned next_offset until truncated is absent. Offsets count characters.
A directory update is not visible
Change notifications are hints. Refresh the catalogue or reconnect, then read the document again. An installed collection changes with the installation, not with an unrelated local edit.
The client cannot connect
Confirm the client finds the command and launches it with serve, with nothing printed to stdout by a wrapper. Stdio and Unix sockets are supported. For a socket, use a directory that permits your client and belongs to your process only.
Prepare a support report
Share the installed version, the selected source, the kind and name you requested, the client and transport, the version-check outcome and the redacted error, and say which step last worked.
